THE PRODUCT
The fabric starts as a non-GM seed planted in the Kutch area of
Gujerat, North India and grown organically under fair trading
conditions by Agrocel and certified by SKAL. The spun cotton is
transported by lorry to the producer in South India where it is dyed
(using non Azo dyes) and hand-woven by the 300 weavers working in
K.V. Kuppam.
Any imperfections are part of the character of hand-woven cloth and
will not affect its strength. As with all natural textiles the
colours will gently fade over time. The cloth has been pre-washed
and ironed and will not shrink.
Agrocel fibre is Certified Organic and Fair-trade, this means care
is taken to preserve the ecosystem where it is grown, and also
ensures that nobody is exploited along the way in producing the
purest cotton fibre.
THE BEST COTTON FIBRE : AGROCEL®

How the Fabric is made:

The raw organically grown cotton is hand spun, the yarn is then hand dyed and dried before being hand woven, washed and dried.
